Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Stephens) <br /> <br />. Minute Order No. 2003-057, Motion Approving the Planned Development <br />PLN2003-00092; to allow construction of a new Mulford-Marina Branch Library <br />with an approximate floor area of 5,495 square feet and situated on a site <br />encompassing 37,380 square feet. Development of the site will also include a new <br />parking lot and landscaping; 13699 Aurora Drive (northwest comer of Fairway <br />Drive and Aurora Drive); Assessor's Parcel Number 79A-590-1-5; J. Eyres, Group <br />4 Architecture (applicant), City of San Leandro c/o N. Thorn (property owner); <br />Subject to the Findings and Conditions of Approval. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Cormnents are lilnited to 3 minutes per person. When you address the City Council, you <br />should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be <br />determined and an official record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to <br />nlake comments on items of public interest NOT listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Wafaa Aborashed, Davis West Neighborhood Group, addressed the City Council <br />regarding the removal of trees in the Davis West Neighborhood area, noting the trees provide <br />sound insulation, requesting the trees be trimmed rather than removed and asking that the <br />residents be notified in advance when trees are to be removed. Ms. Aborashed inquired about <br />the Council's position on the Alameda Power and Telecom plan for a gasification facility and <br />urged the Council not to consider such a proposal. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, Davis West Neighborhood Group, addressed the City Council regarding a <br />letter from a resident in Heron Bay expressing concern regarding constnlction on the <br />
