Human Relations Committee Meeting of December 12, 2001. <br /> <br />Future Actions to Be Taken: <br />a. The Committee recommends City Council support for an allocation of <br />$70,000 from gun tax revenues to be allocated in the 2002-2003 budget <br />cycle in the Community Benefit budget as a "Human Relations <br />Improvement" category. There was City Council consensus to bring <br />the issue back to the full City Council for discussion at a future Work <br />Session. <br /> <br />3. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of December 13, 2001. <br />Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />Future Actions to Be Taken; <br />a. The Committee recommends that the following action be brought forward <br />for City Council consideration: <br /> <br />(J) An amendment to the "Setting of the Mayor's Salary Guidelines" to <br />include the definition of "base salary" to be two (2) times the amount of <br />a City Council Member's salary, with a not-to-exceed cap of three (3) <br />times the amount of a City Council Member's salary; and <br /> <br />(2) An amendment to the San Leandro Administrative Code (SLAC) <br />regarding "Naming/Renaming of Facilities" to further define the <br />notification process for "next of kin." <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered for approval <br />by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from <br />the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the Consent <br />Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> <br />The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Badger.
