Harold Perez, 2052 Vestal Court, addresscd the City Council regarding garbage <br />service indicating the garbage pickup time is now later than ever and costs havc <br />increased. He also commented on his conccrn regarding speeding traffic and <br />circulation issues at the West Gatc Shopping Center area. <br /> <br />C. John Manuel, 13122 Neptune Drive, addressed the City Council regarding a <br />request to establish a South Field Study Group for residents of San Leandro <br />regarding the Oakland Airport. <br /> <br />D. Dennis Rosucci, 13111 Neptune Drive, addressed the City Council regarding <br />nighttime noise from the airport and the proposed insulation program. He <br />suggested the Port of Oakland be required to prove that the insulation program <br />would solve the problem if people will be requested to give up their legal rights to <br />pursue the issue in the future. <br /> <br />E Francois Gallo, 979 Woodland, addressed the City Council in support of the South <br />Field Study Group, indicating the Davis West area residents arc affected by the <br />same problems. <br /> <br />F. Jerry Glass, 13170 Neptune Drive, addressed the City Council regarding airport <br />noise and insulation program issues. In addition, he commented on street work that <br />is taking place at Neptune and Marina, noting a recent truck oil line leak that needs <br />to be cleaned up. lIe also reported that the traffic sigtlage at the same location <br />should be reviewed, suggesting that there be a "No Right Turn" sign posted. <br /> <br />G. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council commenting on <br />the Cubix Construction Co. item previously discussed on the City Council Agenda <br />of Febmary 19, 2002. He added he docs not feel there is a reason to do <br />redistricting in San Leandro and concluded by stating Washington Manor has no <br />redevelopment projects at this time and he does not want the City to propose any in <br />the future. <br /> <br />5. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager indicated he will have staff check on traffic issues at the West Gate <br />Shopping Center area; will have staff look at the hours of garbage pick-up in Mr. <br />Perez's neighborhood, and will have stafflook into the oil spillage and traffic signage at <br />Neptune and Marina. <br /> <br />The City Manager also indicated the airport settlement agreement/insulation program <br />issue would be coming before the City Council Airpoli Committee at their next <br />meeting. <br />
