<br />MINUTES Page 4 <br />City or San Leandro City Council_and San Leandro Redcv,c~~pll1cnt Agency Joint Meeting September 3, 2002 <br /> <br />City Council Members discussed the matter at length. Specifically, Council Member <br />Badger addressed the issue of liquefaction and requested clarification on the approval <br />process. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze requested c1arillcation on grading and the amount of fill necessary for <br />the project. He addressed the issue of the Davis/Timothy intersections and coordination <br />with simultaneous construction projects. <br /> <br />Council Member Santos mentioned his discussions with residents and the impacts from <br />the project, diesel pollution, zoning concerns, and traffic issues. lIe suggested the matter <br />be referred back to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Council Member Nardine requested inlormation about community involvement with the <br />developer, Eden Road development, pollution mitigation, the zoning change, and how the <br />Redevelopment Agency was involved. She stated her concern over PedEx and the <br />approval process. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant commented on involvement with CalTrans and her concern over <br />the noise, health, trallic and pollution issues, increased landscaping, and the perception <br />that work is occurring ahead of staff's knowledge. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler suggested the community be involved and the matter be <br />returned to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze suggested the entire corridor should be studied. <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented on an existing traffic study for the area near the airport and the <br />current condition of the property. She mentioned the developer is tlying to make <br />improvements to the property and area but said it may need to return to the Planning <br />Commission. Mayor Young also suggested alternate routes instead of Davis Street. <br /> <br />The following Motions, Resolution, and Ordinance were then included in the Public <br />Hearing: <br /> <br />. Motion adopting a Mitigated Negative Declaration and Mitigation Monitoring <br />Program lor PLN2002-00031, as complete and in compliance with CEQA <br />requirements on an approximately 2l-aere site proposed to be subdivided into nine <br />parcels located at 2500 Davis Street; Assessor's Parcel Number 79A-515-2-8. <br />(l 009/ 1(09) <br /> <br />. Ordinance rezoning certain propel1y herein described as to Zoning Distlict and <br />amending Zoning Map (PLN2002-00031) on an approximately 21-acre site proposed <br />to be subdivided into nine parcels located at 2500 Davis Street; Assessor's Parcel <br />Number 79A-515-2-8; subject to the Pindings and Conditions of Approval. <br />(1099/1009/1024) <br />
