(2940) <br /> <br />City Manager Jemlanis noted that San Leandro Unified School District IS supporting <br />Proposition 47. <br /> <br />M/S/C Nardine and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />F. Resolution No. 2002-152, resolution supporting Measure BB, San Francisco Bay Area <br />Rapid Transit District (BART) Seismic Safety Bond on the November 5, 2002 Ballot <br />(resolves the City of San Leandro's support of Measure BB, a ballot measure on the <br />November 5, 2002, ballot, which would authOlize the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid <br />Transit District (BART) to issue $1.05 billion of bonds to seismically retrofit, <br />strengthen, improve, and replace BART facilities in Alameda, Contra Costa, and San <br />Francisco counties). (2940) <br /> <br />Mayor Young requested infolmation regarding project priorities in San Leandro. <br /> <br />Aaron Weinstein, BART representative, commented on priorities and the ten-year <br />project timeline. <br /> <br />Council Member Santos noted he would like a rebate program Il)f seniors and low-income <br />people to be considered by the BART Board. <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Grant. Ayes: 5; Noes: 2 (Glaze and Nardine) <br /> <br />G. Report on Closed Session actions taken. <br /> <br />There was no Closed Session. <br /> <br />9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />A. Council Member Grant commented on attending an awards ceremony Il)r Jo Casanave <br />Irom Congress Member Pete Stark's office. <br /> <br />B. Council Member Nardine announced the receipt of a plaque from the Marina Vista <br />neighborhood thanking the City Council for the new playground. <br /> <br />C. Vice Mayor Glaze commented on the Trivia Bee first-place trophy and Mayor/City <br />Council winning "spouse" team. He also commented on the San Lorenzo School Board <br />campaign signs being improperly placed on City property. <br />
