<br />MINUTES <br />.s:.~ty of Sal~eand~~52!l'_.~~ouneil Meeting-November 4, 2002 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Ken Rabello, Marketing Solutions Group, addressed the City Council in support of the <br />Bayside Development Group's proposal, and urged the developer to work closely with the <br />City and its citizens. <br /> <br />Carole Rinaldi, Marina Faire Homeowners, addressed the City Council in support of <br />the McMahon Devclopment Group's proposal, commenting the developer has gone above <br />and beyond in addressing the community's concerns, and urged Council's approval of the <br />project. <br /> <br />Audrey Albers, Mulford Gardens Improvement Association, addressed the City <br />Council, opining the size and scope of the project warrants a full Environmental Impact <br />Report. <br /> <br />Dennis Rosucci, Marina Action Committee, addressed the City Council regarding <br />residents' concems with the Conditions of Approval, particularly the use of compressed <br />natural gas vehicles by Federal Express and the development of Eden Road. Mr. Rosucci <br />distributed copies of his email response to a memorandum from City Attomey Randolph. <br /> <br />John Manuel, Marina Action Committee, addressed the City Council regarding the <br />need [or the residents of West San Leandro to be involved in the decision-making process, <br />and listed additional "must have" items recommended for inclusion in the Conditions of <br />Approval ofthe project. <br /> <br />AI Paladini, 14970 Inlet Court., addressed the City Council regarding his concem with <br />the provision for trucks leaving the project area to be routed toward Oakland. <br /> <br />Wafaa Aborashed, Davis West Neighborhood Group, addressed the City Council <br />regarding her concern that neighbors were not included in the process sooner, and urged <br />adoption of the three pages of recommendations included in the packet distributed to <br />Council. <br /> <br />Tom Guarino, 141777 Seagate Road., addressed the City Council regarding his <br />agreement with Carole Rinaldi's comments, pointed to some of the appealing aspects of <br />the project, and provided information on PG&E's Clean Cities Project. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, Davis West Neighborhood Group, addressed the City Council, <br />requesting the Council adopt the three pages of recommendations as part of the <br />Conditions of Approval and expressing a variety of concerns regarding the traffic <br />problems in the area. Mr. Perez opined the City should have sought out the involvement <br />of all affected residents, rather than a select few, and pointed to the "green cards" <br />circulated by citizens as an example of gathering citizen input. <br /> <br />Jeff Starkovich, BT Commercial, addressed the City Council regarding the lack of <br />viable alternatives lor attracting and expanding new businesses, and noted this project <br />incorporates pioneering technology. Mr. Starkovich acknowledged the valid issues <br />
