Minute Order No. 2002-062, Matter of allocation of federal HOME Funds to provide rent subsidies for Linkages clients (provides for allocation of HOME funds to assist Alameda County Housing and Job Linkages Program, known as Linkages, with temporill)' rental subsidies for homeless individuals and families). (2947) The City Council approved $10,000 in federal HOME Funds to provide rent subsidies for homeless and transitional clients of the Alameda County "Linkages" Program and authorized the City Manager to execute a Participating Public .Jurisdiction Agreement (PPJ) between Alameda County and the cities of Fremont, Livermore, Pleasanton, and San Leandro. 8. Items removed from the Consent Calendar: 7.BResolution No. 2002-161, resolution approving a Contractual Services Agreement with Architectural Resources Group (ARG) related to updating the Historic Preservation Inventory and revising code sections related to historic preservation (provides for the survey of historic structures that will allow new buildings to be added to the Historic Structures Inventory and to strengthen the Municipal and Zoning Codes as they relate to historic preservation). Cost: $75,000. Funding: Library General Fund and City Manager's Contingency Account. (2944) Vice-Mayor Glaze asked how sites will be chosen for inclusion on the Inventory, and how this action will relate to the amendments to the Historic Preservation Ordinance. Conullunity Development Director Hanson Hom commented both the items brought up by Vice-Mayor Glaze are included in the scope of work of the contract. The consultant will work with the Library-Historical Commission to develop criteria and identify additional sites to add to the Inventory list, and to review and recommend amendments to the existing Historic Preservation Ordinance. Library Services Director Dave Bohne added that if the Council approves the agreement tonight, the Library-Historical Commission will meet next Tuesday with the consultant and tour both existing sites and some proposed for addition to the Historical Preservation Inventory.
