Matter of amendments to the San Leandro Municipal Code (Fire Code). <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Jennanis gave an overview of the item. Chief Building Official William Schock <br />reviewed the proposed amendments to some of the appendix chapters to the Uniionn Fire <br />Code. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15736 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council to make them aware <br />that actions such as the passage of an amendment to the Fire Code can bigger an increase <br />in rates for fire insurance for residential properties. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without opposition, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Council Members asked clarifying questions of staff <br /> <br />· Ordinance No. 2002-030, an ordinance amending Chapter 3 of Title III of the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes pcr person. When you address the City Council, <br />you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers <br />may be determined and an official record of names and addresses obtained. The public is <br />invited to make comments on Consent Calendar items, or other items of public interest not <br />listed on the Agenda, at this time. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, Davis West Neighborhood Group, addressed the City Council, asking when <br />the minutes of the November 4, 2002 City Council meeting will be made available, and <br />expressing concems the list of itcms requested by thc neighborhood group have been <br />changed. <br /> <br />Darlene Evans, 361 Bristol Boulevard., addressed the City Council regarding concerns over <br />the use of fireworks in San Leandro. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15736 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Counc! I regarding the importance <br />of the meeting minutes, opining an agenda is not whole until the minutes are approved. Mr. <br />Filipovich expressed conccm that, due to the way the agenda is structured, he must use his <br />public comment time in order to discuss meeting minutes. <br />
