PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, subject to revision by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be detennined and an olTicial record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br /> <br />A. Matter of proposed extension of moratOliunl on all new fast-food restaurants in the CD <br />Commercial Downtown Zoning District (proposes extension of the moratorium on fast- <br />food restaurants through December 31, 2003, or until the proposed Zoning Code <br />Amendments are adopted, whichever comes lIrst). <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />John Jermanis introduced Community Development Director Hanson Ham, who gave a <br />brief presentation on the item. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 LaVerne Drive, addressed the City Council, opining the agenda <br />docs not contain adequate information about the item. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without opposition, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />. Urcency Ordinance No. 2002-034, An Urgency Ordinance extending Interim <br />(J.'cencv Ordinance No. 2002-029 prohibiting consideration and approval of use <br />permits, variances, building permits, start or new construction, or other entitlements <br />for all new fast-food restaurants in the CD Commercial Downtown Zoning District <br />through December 31, 2003, or until proposed Zoning Code Amendments are <br />adopted, whichever comes first, and declaring this Ordinance to be an urgency <br />measure, to take effect immediately, as it relates to the preservation of public peace, <br />health, and safety. (1098) <br /> <br />Passed to Print and Adopted <br /> <br />M/S/C Badger and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. The public is <br />invited to make comments on Consent Calendar items, or other items of public interest not <br />listed on the Agenda, at tlus time. <br />
