<br />Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council, <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, and the <br />Geologic Hazard Abatement District Joint Meeting <br />January 16, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />The City Attorney commented that the Court had issued an order of possession, <br />but the property owners have filed for a stay. The Court granted the stay last <br />Thursday, but is reviewing its position on the matter. <br /> <br />The Redevelopment Agency concurred by making the following Motion: <br /> <br />Minute Order No. 2001-1. Matter of the Disposition of Real Property <br />Located at 635 Marina Boulevard; 872-846 Marina Boulevard; and 936 <br />Marina Boulevard in San Leandro (collectively the "Property") Without Public <br />Bidding, Pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Sections 33430 and <br />33431, and Pursuant to That Certain Proposed Disposition and Development <br />Agreement (DDA) By and Between the Redevelopment Agency and the <br />Batarse Family Trust, D.T.A., Dated May 7, 1987, Anthony A. Batarse, Jr., <br />Trustee 635, 872-846, and 936 Marina Boulevard (the "Agreement"). (2888) <br /> <br />The Redevelopment Agency called and continued the public hearing to <br />Tuesday, February 20, 2001. <br /> <br />M/S/C Nardine and Santos. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Young <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />A. Richard Kelly, San LeandrolHayward Elks, addressed the City Council and <br />invited the Mayor and City Council Members to utilize their facilities, as well as <br />the San Leandro Police Officers Association. He commented on various activities <br />that take place at the lodge. <br /> <br />B. Norman M. Stamm, 2488 Harborview Drive, addressed the City Council and <br />spoke to the need for leadership in San Leandro with regard to the energy crisis. <br />He challenged the City to set the example for businesses and residents of San <br />Leandro <br /> <br />C. Kathy Banks, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Council and thanked <br />them for the new renovated main library. She stressed the need for magnification <br />devices for the visually impaired. <br />
