As a homeowner he has made improvements to his home and was <br />required to get permits. With reference to his experience, he stated staff was fair <br />and the process was efficient and proper and his project resulted in a nice addition <br />to the neighborhood. He added it is important balance is achieved between <br />homeowner's needs and desires, as well as the neighbor's needs and desires. <br /> <br />Norman Stamm, 2488 Harborview Drive, addressed the City Council in support <br />of the proposed extended moratorium. <br /> <br />Paul Nahm, 1591 Daniels Drive, addressed the City Council in support of the <br />proposed extended moratorium. He urged the City Council to not support the <br />requested exemption for ML Tsoi from the ordinance. <br /> <br />Manuel Gonsalves, 1371 Daily Drive, addressed the City Council in support of <br />the extension of the moratorium. He commented he stands to lose 75% of the <br />view from his home if his neighbor is allowed to construct a second story. <br /> <br />Derek Rinetti, 2715 Darius Way, addressed the City Council in support of the <br />proposed extension of the moratorium. He also stated his opposition to the <br />request of the Tsoi family to be exempted from the ordinance. <br /> <br />Brent Heath, 1648 GrafT Court, addressed the City Council regarding the <br />process he went through when he owned a home in Piedmont. He stated he would <br />support the moratorium be extended until a clear ordinance can be written, <br /> <br />Frederick Reicker, 2018 Marineview Drive, addressed the City Council in <br />support of the extended moratorium. He noted the petition that had been <br />submitted to the City and was included in the packet. <br /> <br />Nicolas Penland, 1746 Clearview Drive, addressed the City Council in support <br />of the extension of the moratorium. He stated his view that the language in the <br />proposed ordinance needs to be "tightened" for future residents, <br /> <br />Evencio Hurrado Jr., 2297 Longview Drive, addressed the City Council 10 <br />support of the extension of the moratorium. <br /> <br />Haryanto Ly, 1689 Clearview Drive, addressed the City Council in support of <br />the extension of the moratorium. <br /> <br />Shakkum Tsoi, 1333 Daily, addressed the City Council asking to be exempted <br />from the proposed ordinance. He indicated that he does not intend to harm <br />anyone, just wants to expand his home for his children, who he had promised <br />separate rooms to. He indicated that ifhe had met with this much opposition when <br />he originally applied for the permits, he would not have moved forward with his <br />
