PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hOUL When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />Kathy Banks, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Council regarding the <br />increase in garbage fees. She indicated she feels residents should be rewarded for <br />recycling and provided a discount on the garbage fees. <br /> <br />Mike Rawlis, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Council regarding Palma <br />Plaza and requested that this development site be turned into something for Senior <br />Citizens. He asked that the Council consider having something special for the senior <br />citizens for a day. He concluded by commenting on the need for public transportation <br />for seniors to the Marina. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, 2052 Vestal Court, addressed the City Council regarding concerns <br />with the rising garbage rates, the need for additional police patrol of the Timothy <br />Drive area in the evening, and the continued airplane noise in his neighborhood. <br /> <br />Dr. Nancy Jewell Cross, 1327 Kruger Avenue, Fremont, addressed the City <br />Council regarding ideas she has for improved public transportation. <br /> <br />5. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager remarked that ACI is able to increase their fees based on the current <br />consumer price index, explaining that the rate structure is set by formula. <br /> <br />The City Manager noted further that he would have the Chief of Police respond to Mr. <br />Perez regarding his concerns within his neighborhood. <br />
