<br />Minutes- City of San Leandro City Council and <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting - July 16,2001 <br /> <br />Page 15 <br /> <br />C. An Ordinance Amending Title I, Chapter 6 of the San Leandro Municipal Code <br />Relating to Purchasing, Personal Services, and Surplus Sales (authorizes changes <br />to the City's dollar limits on purchases, the informal bid process limits, and local <br />preference provisions). Cost: L,ess than $500 Annually/Various Funds. <br /> <br />Mike White, Interim Finance Director, gave a briefstafTreport <br /> <br />City Council discussion ensued regarding the percentage of preference that should <br />be given. After a lengthy discussion it was suggested that this issue be referred <br />back to the Economic Development Committee with the proviso that they look at <br />a 5% preference across the board. <br /> <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> <br />Minute Ol'der No. 2001-69, An Ordinance Amending Title 1, Chapter 6 of the <br />San Leandro Municipal Codc Relating to Purchasing, Personal Services, and <br />Surplus Sales (authorizcs changes to the City's dollar limits on purchases, the <br />informal bid process limits, and local preference provisions) Cost: Less than <br />$500 Annually/Various Funds. (1368/2318) <br /> <br />The City Council referred the mattel' of an Ordinance Amending Title I, <br />Chapter 6 of the San Leandro Municipal Code Relating to Purchasing, <br />Personal Services, and Surplus Sales, back to the City Council Economic <br />Development and Redevelopment Committee to consider a flat 51Yo "local <br />preference provision" instead of the proposed, graduated discount rate. <br /> <br />No Vote <br /> <br />D. Report on the Strategic Plan <br /> <br />(1051 ) <br /> <br />No action required. <br /> <br />E Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro <br />Approving the Purchase and Sale Agreement, Addendum to the Purchase and Sale <br />Agreement, and Escrow Instructions, Between Yokota, Masuda, and Kumabe, et <br />aI., and the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency for the Property Located at 467, <br />505, and 517 Marina Boulevard; Assessor's Parcel Numbers 075-0087-003-02, <br />75-0087-004-04, and 075~0087-004-06 for Redevelopment Purposes Cost: <br />$9,500,000.
