<br />EXHIBIT G <br />MOVE IN NOTICE <br /> <br />Move In Notice to Prospective Tenants Regarding Property Acquisition <br /> <br />Dear Prospective Tenant: <br /> <br />The owner of the Islander Lodge Motel has entered into a Purchase Agreement with the Redevelopment <br />Agency of the City of San Leandro ("Agency"). The Agency intends to purchase the Islander Lodge Motel <br />("Motel") and to work with a non-profit developer who will operate the Motel as an affordable apartment complex. <br />When the Agency takes possession of the property, each occupant will be notified in writing and will be provided <br />additional information about the terms and conditions of continued residency. <br /> <br />The Agency's acquisition of the property may be partially funded with federal funds. Therefore, the <br />Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended ("URA"), protects <br />the tenants who occupy the property for 90 days prior to the Agency's acquisition of the property. However, as a <br />new tenant, you will not be eligible to receive relocation benefits under the Relocation Laws. <br /> <br />The purpose of this notice is to inform you of the pending property acquisition and conversion to affordable <br />housing, anticipated to be in , 2005, before you enter into a rental agreement and occupy one of the <br />rooms. It is important that you read and understand this information prior to occupying a room at the Islander Lodge <br />Motel. By signing below, you are stating the following prior to renting a room at the Motel: <br /> <br />. You recognize that the premises are in the process of being acquired by the Redevelopment Agency of the City <br />of San Leandro. <br />. You are aware of your rights under the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies <br />Act of 1970, as amended, and corresponding State Law and Regulations as set forth in California Government Code <br />Section 7260 and Title 25 of the California Code of Regulations. <br />. You are further aware that the law may allow for payment of such costs as moving expenses and expenses <br />incurred in finding comparable housing. <br />. You are also aware that Landlord would not enter into this rental agreement if you were not willing to <br />waive such rights to relocation benefits. Therefore, by signing this Notice, Tenant hereby knowinl!:IY and <br />voluntarily waives any and all ril!:hts to relocation benefits which mil!:ht otherwise be available under law. <br />. By signing this Notice, you indicate that you have been given the opportunity to contact legal counselor <br />other state, local or non-profit agencies to better understand your rights to relocation benefits. <br />. By signing this Notice, you indicate that you have been given a copy of the HUD brochure "Relocation <br />Assistance to Tenants Displaced From Their Homes". <br />. By signing this Notice, you further indicate that you understand that you may contact the Agency's <br />Relocation Advisor, Ms. Karen Eddleman, for further information prior to agreeing to rent a room at the Motel. Ms. <br />Eddleman's toll-free number is 1-800-558-5151. <br /> <br />By executing this Notice you hereby further indicate that you have either contacted others for assistance in <br />understanding your rights or you have specifically declined to do so. <br /> <br />Please read this notification carefully prior to signing a rental agreement and moving into the Motel. If you <br />have any questions about this notice, please feel free to contact the Agency's Relocation Advisor, Ms. Karen <br />Eddleman, at 1-800-558-5151.
