<br />Overcrowded Conditions. Three households are currently living in overcrowded <br />conditions based upon the Agency's housing occupancy standards for relocation programs. The <br />Agency has adopted the following occupancy standards to provide Decent, Safe and Sanitary <br />housing to all eligible displaced households. <br /> Housing Occupancy Standards <br /> Number of Occupants Bedroom Counted Needed <br /> 1 1 bedroom or studio apartment <br /> 2 1 bedroom or studio apartment <br /> 3 1 bedroom apartment <br /> 4 2 bedroom apartment <br /> 5 2 bedroom apartment <br /> 6 3 bedroom apartment <br /> 7 3 bedroom apartment <br /> 8 4 bedroom apartment <br />Accessibility Needs. None of the eligible households that \/\ere interviewed reported <br />that a family member was physically challenged and would require special advisory or housing <br />assistance as a result of their health issues. If any occupant requires special assistance to <br />accommodate health issues, a Relocation Adv;sor will work closely with them to accommodate <br />their special needs. <br />Language. The project area is home to residents of diverse languages and cultures. <br />However, all occupants are fluent in English. If translation services are needed, the Agency will <br />make every attempt to communicate wth those households and to provide the necessary <br />additional advisory assistance to secure a replacement site. <br />Demographics. Of the 36 motel occupants that claim the motel as theirprimary <br />residence, 23 are African American and 13 are Anglo American. <br />Income. Twenty households provided information regarding their household income. <br />Of those households, only one household reported income that exceeded 50% of area median <br />income. Seventeen of the households reported Very Low Income and two households reported <br />income that places them in the Low Income Category.
