<br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Task I - Relocation Services. Consultant staff will provide all Relocation Assistance <br />services in a timely manner in accordance with State guidelines. Consultant will conduct a <br />permanent Relocation Assistance Program in accordance with the California Relocation <br />Assistance Law, Government Code 97260 et seq. Consultant will also comply with all <br />requirements, policies and procedures of the Agency. <br /> <br />Consultant will provide the following Relocation Assistance Services to each of the <br />project occupants: <br /> <br />A. Prepare and mail an initial contact letter to each occupant. The letter will request an <br />interview in order to determine relocation needs. <br /> <br />B. The Consultant will provide continuing Relocation Advisory Assistance to each <br />occupant. This will include the following services: <br /> <br />1. Make referrals, when appropriate to social service agencies. <br /> <br />2. Remain accessible as a continual resource for information concerning the <br />Relocation process and the appeals process. <br /> <br />3. Provide transportation as needed. <br /> <br />4. Act as a liaison between the Agency and occupant. <br /> <br />5. If necessary, provide translation services for non-English speaking <br />households. <br /> <br />6. Assist in obtaining moving estimates and services. <br /> <br />7. Provide additional services mutually agreed upon by the consultant and <br />the Agency in connection with the administration of relocation assistance <br />servIces. <br /> <br />C. The Consultant will identify relocation problems and recommend solutions to the <br />Agency. <br /> <br />D. The Consultant will hand deliver or mail (certified) all appropriate letters and notices. <br /> <br />E. Once approved by the Agency, the total Relocation benefit amount will be provided <br />to each occupant in a Letter of Entitlement that will be delivered by the Consultant. <br /> <br />F. The Consultant will prepare all claims. All documentation will be reviewed and will <br />be submitted with the relocation claims. <br /> <br />G. The Consultant will make each occupant aware of the moving options.
