Matter of Approval of Mayor Young's Travel Expenses to Portugal, Including Air <br />Fare and Per Diem. <br /> <br />The Mayor clarified that last October the City Council put together a Golf <br />Tournament in the City of San Leandro with no cost to the City of San Leandro. <br />The result was that $7,000 was raised to be placed in a Sister Cities account to be <br />administered by the City Council. As the Mayor, she has been invited to the 300th <br />Anniversary of the Celebration of the Miracle of Christ in Ponte Delgada, <br />Portugal. She indicated she has accepted the invitation; and the money to pay for <br />that trip, which will be no more than $1,500.00, will be paid for from this account, <br />if approved by the City Council this evening. <br /> <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> <br />Minute Order No. 2000-11, Matter of Approval of Mayor Young's Travel <br />Expenses to Portugal, Including Air Fare and Per Diem.
