The following Resolution was then introduced: Resolution No. 2000-63, Resolution Approving Alameda County Expenditure Plan and Recommendation to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to Place an Extension of the One-Half-Cent Sales Tax on the November 2000 Ballot (Measure B) (provides for extending the County-Wide Measure B one- half-cent retail sales/use tax to fund programs and projects described in the proposed Alameda County Expenditure Plan). Council Member Grant commented on the Millennium Ad-Hoc Committee Meeting of April 17, 2000. She indicated the theme for the celebration will be "Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow" and the four focus areas will be Technology, Cultural Diversity, History and Youth. She also mentioned they have suggested a tag line to be used which will be "San Leandro Celebrates the Millennium." This tag line is proposed to be utilized and added to the following programs: . Dedication of the EI Camino Bell Downtown . Dedication of Marina Park Playgrounds . Cherry Festival and Parade . Summer Concert Series . Living Longer Growing Stronger Senior Health & Wellness Fair . Grand Opening of the New Library . Tree Lighting Ceremony Council Member Grant indicated a Millennium Committee is being formed to plan specific activities for the remainder of the year.
