Matter of Proposed Adjustments in Fees and Charges for City Services Provided by City Departments, Fiscal Year 2000-2001. This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Tim Hansen, Finance Director, reported on the revised fees and noted this is the first step of the 2000.2001 Fiscal Year Budget process. He commented that the City has conducted a cost and fee analysis for City services and operations. He concluded by noting the changes in fees were reviewed and supported by the City Council Finance Committee. The Hearing was then opened to the public. Lou Filipovicb, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council, commenting on taxes, taxpayers, and asking how much this will cost, who will pay, and for how long? He also commented on the need to make clear the relationship between the City of San Leandro and the Chamber of Commerce. There being no comments from the public, and without opposition, the Public Hearing was closed. City Council discussion ensued regarding whether Fire Inspection Services Fees includes the schools, shopping cart collection fees, and Block Party fees. The Mayor commended her colleagues who serve on the City Council Finance Committee for their extensive review of this proposed fee schedule. The following Motion was then introduced: Minute Order No. 2000-27, Matter of Proposed Adjustments in Fees and Charges for City Services Provided by City Departments, Fiscal Year 2000- 2001. (1051/2318) The City Council approved the proposed adjustments in fees and charges for City senrices provided by City departments for Fiscal year 2000-2001. M/S/C Lothrop and Loeffler.
