The City Manager also indicated he will look into the rent increases at the <br />Doolittle Apartments, adding there has been an increase in housing values in the <br />area. He said he will talk with the owner of the apartments and will get back to <br />the speakers and report to the City Council on the outcome ofthe discussions. <br /> <br />The City Council recessed from 9:10 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. <br /> <br />7. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />1. The Mayor reported on discussions being held regarding sound-wall studies on <br />Interstate 580. She indicated Caltrans is preparing a noise.barrier scope <br />report. She added that there will be many public hearings held before anything <br />is built, and there will be alternatives for the height of the wall being proposed. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor also invited the City Council to an official ceremony in Oakland <br />tomorrow, at 10:00 a.m., regarding Alameda County Transit's Fuel Cell <br />Development Program for buses. She indicated she will not be able to attend <br />the ceremony. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees (See Minutes) <br /> <br />1. City and San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee Meeting of <br />July 11, 2000. The City Council accepted the report provided in the <br />Agenda packet. It was noted that both the City and the School District <br />will be considering policies as they relate to the naming of the soccer field. <br /> <br />2. Disaster Council Meeting of June 15, 2000. The City Council accepted the <br />report provided in the Agenda packet. <br /> <br />3. Finance Committee Meeting of June 28, 2000. The City Council accepted <br />the report provided in the Agenda packet. <br />
