She indicated further that, although the City Council will be having a
recess for the month of August, she feels it should be noted Council Members will
still be meeting in other Committees and only the full City Council Meetings are
not taking place during that time.

B. He concluded by
remarking on a recent meeting in Washington Manor regarding Flood Control
issues. He added that the relationship between Alameda County Flood Control
and the City has been lacking. He complimented William Shock on his
participation in the discussions.

D. He reported on the groundbreaking for Durant Square and indicated there is
a new grocery story planned for that location. He expressed concerns with how
that would affect traffic and encouraged the City Council to stay involved in this
issue as it impacts San Leandro, especially as it relates to whether a traffic light is
needed at Bristol and East 14th Street.
