<br />party contracting with the City. In the case of month-to-month agreements or other periodic <br />agreements, if the City allows such agreement to roll over after enactment of this Chapter, then <br />such agreement shall be deemed as having been entered into after enactment. For City financial <br />aid to trigger coverage under this chapter, it must begin after this Chapter was enacted. <br />Compliance shall be required for a period of five (5) years following receipt of aid as to those <br />employees engaged in work directly related to the purpose for which the City provided aid. <br /> <br />1-15-110 "Employee" means any individual employed by a P AB in City-related employment if <br />the P AB employs more than six (6) persons per pay period, unless in the prior 12 pay periods the <br />P AB has not employed more than six persons and will not employer more than six in the next 12 <br />pay periods. A P AB shall be deemed to employ more than six persons if it is part of an <br />"enterprise" as defmed under the Fair Labor Standards Act employing more than six persons. <br /> <br />1-15-115 "Person" include any natural person, corporation, partnership, limited liability <br />company,joint venture, sole proprietorship, association, trust or any other entity. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2. <br /> <br />EXEMPTIONS FROM COVERAGE <br /> <br />The following persons shall also be exempt from coverage under this Chapter: <br /> <br />1-15-200: An employee participating in a temporary job-training program which complies with <br />City joh-training standards, and in which a significant component of the employee's training <br />consists of acquiring specialized job readiness knowledge, abilities, or skills. <br />1-15-205: An employee under 18 years, employed in a non-profit after-school or summer <br />employment program, or as a trainee, for not longer tl1an 120 days. <br />1-15-210: Volunteers. <br />1-15-215: Stand-by or on-call employees, as defined by the FLSA, 29 D.S.C. Section 201. The <br />exemption shall apply only during the time when the employee is actually standing by or on call. <br />1-15-220: Employees engaged in public works as defined in Labor Code 1772 and Chapter 1-5 <br />of this Code. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 3. <br /> <br />PAYMENT OF LIVING WAGES TO EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />1-15-300 <br /> <br />Minimum Compensation <br /> <br />Each P AB shall provide its Employees with at least the following compensation: ifthe <br />employer pays at least $2.50 per hour per employee towards employee medical benefits, then the <br />employer shall pay Employees at least $11.50 per hour. If the employer does not provide the <br />employees with such medical benefits, then the employer shall pay employees an hourly wage of <br />not less than $14.00. <br /> <br />1-15-305 <br /> <br />Application of Credit for Medical Benefits <br /> <br />Ifbenefits are offered to employees only if they pay a portion of premiums, then an <br />employee must actually receive such benefits in order for the employer to take a credit for such <br /> <br />2 <br />
