<br />W. Runoff from trash enclosures, recycling areas, or similar facilities shall not <br />discharge to the storm drain system. Trash enclosure areas shall be covered and <br />designed to avoid run-on or run-off to the trash enclosure area. Any drains <br />installed in or beneath dumpsters shall be connected to a grease removal device <br />and/or treatment devices prior to discharging to the sanitary sewer. <br /> <br />X. Sidewalks and parking lots shall be swept regularly to minimize the accumulation <br />of litter and debris. Debris resulting from pressure washing shall be trapped and <br />collected to prevent entry into the storm drain system. Wash water containing any <br />soap, cleaning agent or degreaser shall not be discharged to the storm drain and <br />shall be collected and discharged to the sanitary sewer or collected and treated <br />prior to being lawfully disposed. <br /> <br />Y. All on-site storm drains must be inspected and cleaned at least once a year <br />immediately prior to the rainy season. Additional cleaning may be required by the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />Z, Roof drains shall discharge to an unpaved area wherever practicable. <br /> <br />l'..A. If the design of any site improvements requires encroachments onto neighboring <br />properties during construction, written agreements with that property owner shall <br />be submitted to the City Engineer, for review and approval, prior to issuance of <br />the building permits. <br /> <br />BB. During construction the following high standards for sanitation are required: Garbage <br />cans, construction dumpsters, and debris piles shall be removed on a minimum <br />weekly basis. All food related trash items such as wrappers, cans, bottles, and food <br />scraps shall be disposed of in closed containers only and shall be regularly removed <br />from the site. Inspections, conducted as part of the regular construction compliance, <br />will be conducted to ensure compliance of the Applicant and contractors with this <br />requirement. <br /> <br />v. FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />A. Project shall be required to comply with fire flow requirements as per Appendix <br />III-A of the California Fire Code. Location and flow information for closest <br />hydrant(s) was not included on plans. It appears that additional fire hydrants may <br />be required, and will need to be installed prior to the start of construction. <br />Hydrant information will be required to be submitted at the time of plan submittal <br />for building permit. Detail for any installation of new fire hydrant(s) shall be <br />submitted to the fire department for a separate review. <br /> <br />B.
