City of san Leandro <br />SSMP Plan Development and Schedule <br />The City currently maintains a hydraulic capacity model for the interceptor portion of our <br />collection system infrastructure. We will review and assess the adequacy of the extent, <br />calibration, and dynamic nature of the model as we develop our SSMP program. An updated <br />plan will be included in the final SSMP. <br />• Maintain relevant information that can be used to establish and prioritize appropriate <br />SSMP activities; <br />• Monitor the implementation and, where appropriate, measure the effectiveness of each <br />element of the SSMP; <br />• Assess the success of the preventative maintenance program; <br />• Update program elements, as appropriate, based on monitoring or performance <br />evaluations; and <br />• Identify and illustrate SSO trends, including: frequency, location, and volume. <br />IX MONITORING, MEASUREMENT, AND PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS <br />The Enrollee shall: <br />• Maintain relevant information that can be used to establish and prioritize appropriate <br />SSMP activities; <br />• Monitor the implementation and, where appropriate, measure the effectiveness of each <br />element of the SSMP; <br />~ Assess the success of the preventative maintenance program; <br />• Update program elements, as appropriate, based on monitoring or performance <br />evaluations; and <br />• Identify and illustrate SSO trends, including: frequency, location, and volume. <br />City's Plan: <br />The City will be establishing a formal methodology to monitor the implementation <br />effectiveness of each SSMP element, and will be working with our internal staff and/or <br />contracted consultants if necessary to evaluate and ensure that we remain in compliance with <br />the provisions of the WDR. Changes will be made as necessary to continually improve this <br />document and update program elements, as appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of <br />this section based on the results of our future evaluations. <br />The City has been reporting and keeping statistics on its SSOs and measurement portion of the <br />program is still being developed and will likely include an SSO-trending matrix. The City will <br />assign staff and/or a contracted consultant if necessary as the SSMP task manager to work with <br />staff to review and monitor the implementation, and where appropriate, measure the <br />effectiveness of each element of the SSMP. <br />Page 8 of 10 <br />
