As such, there is an undetermined modest cost associated with the use of this space by <br />CCT that is absorbed within the existing budget. The annual $565 utility payment is in <br />consideration of this fact. The $566 (i.e. the $565 utility stipend plus the $1 annual rent) annual <br />payment is revenue to the General Fund. <br />Budget Authority - N/A <br />Attachments - N/A <br />CONCLUSION <br />There are both cultural and economic benefits of having a professional performing arts facility in <br />Downtown San Leandro. The CCT provides a venue for arts education and quality theater. It <br />also serves as yet another ingredient in the complex formula that attracts both local residents, as <br />well as people from surrounding East Bay communities, into the Downtown, supporting area <br />restaurants and retailers.
