M/S/C Gregory and Prola. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 B. Discussion and Adoption of the 2008-09 Goals and Vision Statement (adopts goals and priorities developed at the Council Retreat in February 2008). Mr. Jermanis presented a draft of the Council's goals and Vision Statement that were developed at the Council Retreat in February, and suggested that they be approved by the Council so that they could be incorporated into the budget for the upcoming year. Councilmember Souza thanked Assistant to the City Manager Jacqui Diaz for her coordination of the process. She asked what it meant for an item to be listed as a prior year's goal. Mr. Jermanis noted that the work on those particular items is being continued, and they are still a priority. Councilmember Souza asked whether the goals were in any particular order. Ms. Diaz indicated that the items are generally in priority order, based on the priorities established in the previous year and on the Council's input at the retreat. • Minute Order No. 2008-013, Motion Adopting the City Council Goals for 2008- 09 and the City Counci12008-09 Vision Statement. (2416) The City Council adopted the City Council Goals for 2008-09 and the City Counci12008-09 Vision Statement. M/S/C Stephens and Prola. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 Mayor Santos commented that he likes the Vision Statement that the Council developed, and hoped that it would be incorporated into the budget document. Councilmember Starosciak agreed with Mayor Santos, and stated that she would also like to see the Vision Statement printed on the Council's business cards. C. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies Vice Mayor Grant reported that she attended a meeting of the Alameda County Housing Authority.
