The <br />group was formed in January 2008, is a subprogram of the Healthy San Leandro <br />Collaborative, and is open to all San Leandro residents. <br />Ms. Fernandez stated that Quality of Life Services holds free monthly seminars on the <br />third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Trustees Room at the Main Library, <br />and is currently focusing on the issues of crime and crime prevention. Based on <br />community input at its January meeting, the group identified the top issues concerning <br />residents, and discussed possible solutions, including broadening participation in the <br />Neighborhood Watch program. Ms. Fernandez described the previous seminars held by <br />the group, and stated that the topic of the June seminar will be identity theft. Proclamation Declaring May 2008 as "Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month" in San <br />Leandro. <br />Benny Lee, member of the Asian Community Cultural Association (ACCA), accepted <br />the "Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month" proclamation presented by Mayor <br />Santos. Mayor Santos acknowledged the members of the ACCA who were present in <br />the audience. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS-CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers maybe determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />None. <br />4.
