Code and Ordinances of the City of San Leandro as they pertain to the conduct of the Special <br />Runoff Election. <br />SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby requests that the Board <br />of Supervisors of the County of Alameda permit the consolidation of the City's Special <br />Municipal Runoff Election with the Statewide General Election to be held on November 4, 2008 <br />and direct the Alameda County Registrar of Voters to provide all necessary services related to <br />said election and to bill the City for the cost of conducting said election. The City Manager is <br />hereby authorized to execute an agreement for such services if an agreement is required by the <br />County. <br />SECTION 4. All persons qualified to vote at elections in said City of San Leandro upon <br />the date of the election herein provided for shall be qualified to vote for the office of City <br />Councilrnember, District 2 at said Special Municipal Runoff Election. <br />SECTION 5. The polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on <br />said day of election, and no ballots shall be received after the proclamation that the polls are <br />closed (except as provided in Section 14401 of the Elections Code). <br />SECTION 6. The Alameda County Registrar of Voters shall proceed and conduct the <br />canvass of the results of said election in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code, <br />and shall deliver to the City of San Leandro the certification of the official results of said <br />election. <br />SECTION 7.
