Department heads prepare monthly reports that are reviewed by the board. These reports keep the <br />executive/finance committee abreast of the activities and financial stability of the entire organization. <br />The staff is dedicated and finds the most creative ways to save money and make every penny count. <br />excellent <br />Excellent <br /> Ability to implement strategic plans and meet goals? <br /> A+. DSFRC is conducting its 3rd 5-year strategic plan. how many Alameda County funded agencies <br /> can speak to that? <br /> Davis Street follows its plans and uses the plans to guide the organization whenever possible <br /> very very good -part of the role of the board is to help with this. <br /> very good, we sometimes get caught in the dayto day and don't get thing done as quickly as we think <br /> we should. <br /> Strategic goals and plans are taken seriously, but at times not met <br /> Naturally we set goals and try to meet the goals and even surpass. We get together every 2 years and <br /> do strategic planning identifing areas for improvement, working to put the plan in action <br /> fair <br /> The board works closely with each department head to make sure that the goals set are both realistic <br /> and achieveable. <br /> Very good <br /> Excellent <br /> Fundraising abilities (including the quality of relationships with funding organizations)? <br /> DSFRC is uniquely qualifed in this area by raising unrestricted funds to compliment the governement <br /> contract funds in order to better serve low income families and seniors in San Leandro. <br /> The Executive Director is known for her outreach and skills to find funds. The fundraising person , <br /> Dawn V., is a valuable addition. She is approachable, friendly and strong asset Davis Street <br /> very good but needs to be expanded. working on a meager of budget even if it is millions of dollars. <br /> board is in process of knocking on doors of billionaire friends. many contributors don't know what <br /> they do. <br /> Very good, since Dawn has been in the development role things are going well. <br /> Good relationship with funding organizations. Rose does an excellent job in this area <br /> Our biggest event is Opera Night which has been very sucessful. We've tried to get additional events <br /> going, however they just have not clicked in the community. We are always seeking ways to raise <br /> funds.
