MINUTES Page 5 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting~Tuly 28, 2008 <br />Mr. Jermanis gave a brief overview of the item and actions to be taken. <br />Public Comments on Item 2.D.: <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on <br />the creation of debt and the use of taxpayers' revenue to fund it. Mr. Filipovich <br />commented that he would not benefit from the project, and senior citizens would <br />receive greater benefit from more income to pay higher gas prices. <br />End of Public Comments on Item 2.D. <br />Councilmember Grant stated that she is excited that the City could fmd a way to move <br />forward with this project. She commended staff for the outreach efforts done to attract a <br />large number of bidders. <br />• Resolution No. 2008-094, Resolution of the City Council of the City of San <br />Leandro Approving a Cooperation Agreement Between the City of San Leandro <br />and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro for the Purpose of <br />Undertaking Redevelopment Activities Within the Alameda County-City of San <br />Leandro Redevelopment Area at a Cost Not to Exceed Thirteen Million and <br />No/100 Dollars ($13,000,000) to the Redevelopment Agency (provides <br />cooperation for the performance of design and construction activities related to the <br />development of the subject project).
