Contract Documents, the Consultant shall specify appropriate performance and design <br />criteria that such services must satisfy. Shop Drawings and other submittals related to the <br />Work designed or certified by the design professional retained by the Contractor shall <br />bear such professional's written approval when submitted to the Consultant. The <br />Consultant shall be entitled to rely upon the adequacy, accuracy and completeness of the <br />services; certifications or approvals performed by such design professionals. <br />2.4 CHANGES IN THE WORK <br />1. The Consultant shall review Change Order Request for the City's approval and <br />execution in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Consultant shall review <br />properly prepared requests by the City or Contractor for changes in the Work, including <br />adjustments to the Contract Sum or Contract Time. A properly prepared request for a <br />change in the Work shall be accompanied by sufficient supporting data and information <br />to permit the Consultant to make a reasonable determination without extensive <br />investigation or preparation of additional drawings or specifications. If the Consultant <br />determined that the requested changes in the Work are not materially different from the <br />requirements of the Contract Documents, the Consultant may recommend to the City that <br />the requested change be denied. <br />2. Consultant shall coordinate with City staff for routine or minor revisions to the scope of <br />work and provide direction to the contractor. Substantial and major Client-initiated <br />changes may be performed as Additional Services on a Time and Material Basis or <br />mutually agreed lump sum with prior approval by the City. <br />3. All work by the Consultant related to errors or omissions in the Contract Design <br />Documents shall be performed at no costs to the City. <br />2.5 PROJECT CLOSEOUT <br />1. Basic Services for Project Closeout shall commence with the date of Substantial <br />Completion and shall terminate 3 months later. Work of the Consultant performed <br />beyond this 3-month period will be Additional Services. <br />2. Upon receipt of a letter and correction ("Punch") list that the project is substantially <br />complete, the Consultant shall review the Work and determine with the City if the Work <br />is Substantially Complete and ready for Consultant's review. If so, the Consultant shall <br />conduct "Punch List" reviews to check conformance of the Work with the requirements <br />of the Contract Documents and to verify the accuracy and completeness of the list <br />submitted by the Contractor of Work to be completed or corrected. Consultant shall issue <br />a letter or certificate of Substantial Completion, stipulating the date achieved and <br />accompanied by the Consultant's Punch List. <br />CSA between City of San Leandro and Group 4 Architecture Project No. 06-210-18-116 <br />San Leandro Senior Center -Phase 2 Exhibit A Page 19 <br />
