Task 3 -HVAC Unit Design (30% level) <br />The Consultant shall: <br />^ Design replacement of existing AC-4 Unit <br />Propose new HVAC equipment selection (consideration of VAV air handler, <br />supply & return fans with VFD motors, chilled water coil and heating hot <br />water preheat coil) <br />• Evaluate HVAC unit capacity based on zone heating/cooling loads as <br />determined by "Load Comparison report" dated 2003 by Taylor Engineering <br />• Verify roof installation and connection to existing ductwork <br />• Specify electrical service modifications/requirements at this location <br />^ Modification of AC-7 <br />• Separate ductwork between first & second floors such that AC-7 serves only <br />the basement and first floors <br />• Investigate feasibility of modifying AC-7 with added preheat coil verses <br />replacement with new unit <br />^ New Rooftop HVAC Unit (serving second floor area previously served by AC-7) <br />• Propose new HVAC equipment selection (consideration of VAV air handler, <br />supply & return fans with VFD motors, chilled water coil and heating hot <br />water preheat coil) <br />• Evaluate HVAC unit capacity based on zone requirements <br />• Design structural roof top installation and membrane penetration <br />• Design extension and connection to existing second floor (above ceiling) <br />ductwork <br />^ Replacement of existing HP-1 Unit <br />• Propose new HVAC equipment selection (consideration of VAV air handler, <br />supply & return fans with VFD motors, chilled water coil and heating hot <br />water preheat coil) <br />• Evaluate HVAC unit capacity based on zone heating/cooling loads as <br />determined by "Load Comparison report" dated 2003 by Taylor Engineering <br />~ Design structural installation on main flat roof <br />• Relocate electrical service to this location <br />• Extend ductwork to existing pitched roof penetration and connect to existing <br />distribution ductwork <br />^ Prepare cost estimate <br />^ Meeting #3 - on completion of City review, Consultant will meet with City Staff to <br />receive comments and answer questions. <br />Consultant Deliverables: (6sets of plans and cut sheets, 1 set of all other documents) <br />^ Preliminary layout plan of HVAC equipment <br />^ Cut sheet data on selected equipment <br />r~ Preliminary technical specifications <br />Consulting Services Agreement between Project No.: 210-18-130 <br />City of San Leandro antl Belden Consulting Engineers--Exhibit A Page 17 <br />
