final geotechnical report, construction sequencing schedule, construction sequencing diagram, and <br />construction cost estimates. <br />Information and/or Services Provided by City: <br />• None. <br />Consultant Deliverables: <br />• Letter acknowledging completion of quality control review of deliverables outlined in this task by <br />Consultant's Quality Management Team. <br />Task 2.2 -Construction Drawings and Specifications. Consultant shall prepare drawings on a computer <br />aided design and drafting (CADD) system using Consultant's CADD drafting standards. Construction <br />drawings will include disciplines in the areas of general, architectural, demolition, civil, structural, <br />mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation. <br />Consultant shall incorporate City-prepared Front End Specifications (including General Conditions and <br />Special Conditions) with Consultant's Technical Specifications using Construction Specifications Institute <br />Divisions 1-17 format for bidding packages from Consultant's Standard Specifications, modified as <br />necessary to suit project needs. <br />The key project elements listed herein have been assumed for final design since Predesign has not yet <br />been completed. The scope and complexity of these elements are subject to change depending the final <br />recommendations of the Predesign Report. <br />1. New Headworks - Provide a new headworks with three screens (climber or fine <br />screens) and one vortex grit tank. Screw conveyor(s) will be used to convey the screenings to <br />washer/compactor(s) for disposal in a screenings bin. Grit will be conveyed via grit pump(s) to <br />washer/cyclone(s) for dewatering before disposal in a gnt bin. The new headworks will be <br />located east of the existing headworks, which will be abandoned. <br />2, New Influent Pump Station - Provide a new influent pump station with aself-cleaning <br />trench-type wet well design. Four vertical or submersible pumps will be provided for the pump <br />station. The new pump station will be located near the new headworks and will be configured <br />either before the new headworks, before the new grit tank, or after the new grit tank. The <br />existing influent pump station will be abandoned. <br />3. New Primary Clarifier - Provide a new 70-foot diameter circular primary clarifier with a side <br />water depth of 11 feet at the same location as the existing rectangular primary sedimentation <br />basins, which will be demolished. The new clarifier will be center-fed and have perimeter <br />launders similar to the two existing primary clarifiers. <br />4. Existing Primary Clarifiers 1 and 2 Improvements -Provide the following improvements to <br />existing Primary Clarifiers 1 and 2: a) installation of walkways with handrails, gratings, and <br />wash water manifold at effluent launders; b) provide additional primary effluent samplers; c) <br />clean, repair, and coat walls, floors, walkways, and effluent launders; d) identify and repair <br />concrete spalling locations; e) inspection and design of drive mechanism for sludge rake arms <br />and skimmers; f) replace effluent side sluice gates with stainless steel gates; g) replace <br />Consulting Services Agreement between Project No, 08-593-52-239 <br />City of San Leandro and Carollo Engineers, Inc.
