Consultant Deliverables: • Drilling permit from Alameda County to conduct borings. • Backfilling of borings with grout in accordance with Alameda County requirements. • Draft and final geotechnical reports (Note that the draft geotechnical will initially be prepared for City comments and for use in predesign and final design. The final geotechnical report will not be completed until the end of final design to allow for on-going updates to the report between predesign and final design). Task 1.3 -Underground Utility Mapping. Exaro Technologies Corporation (Exaro), a subconsultant to Carollo, shall perform underground utility mapping of the WPCP by performing electronic detection followed by ground penetrating radar to locate elevation and layout of underground utilities. For budgeting purposes, Exaro shall perform underground utility mapping work at the plant site for an area that encompasses approximately 120,000 square feet at the direction of the Consultant. After this is completed, Exaro shall perform in continuous fashion potholing using vacuum excavation methods for up to 10 pothholes or perform slot trenches (approximately 1-feet by 8-feet) to check location and/or size of the observed underground utilities in support of the project. Information and/or Services Provided by City: • Available record drawings and specifications of past WPCP designs. • Input on general location, type, number, and size of underground utilities in congested areas of the WPCP. Consultant Deliverables: • A figure or map identifying approximate locations and elevations of underground utilities at select areas of the WPCP to be inputted by the Consultant, • A summary table showing location and/or size of the underground utilities observed during the potholing process. Task 1.4 -Aerial Topographic Surveying. Towill, Inc. (Towill), a subconsultant to Carollo, shall prepare a digital planimetric/topographic map of the WPCP areas shown in Attachment A to serve as the base maps for predesign and final design. This map also shows the anticipated "limit of work" for the project. Ground control surveys will be performed and temporary benchmarks will be established at the WPCP. Mapping will be performed based on the specified horizontal and vertical datum selected by the City, As part of this task, Towill shall also perform as-needed field surveying at the WPCP to verify vertical locations and elevations of existing structures for this project.
