Page 3 of 3 <br />Tentative Schedule for Phase II <br />March - Hazmat Sampling and testing will take place the Asbestos and Lead Work Plan will be <br />incorporated into spec books upon completion. <br />Acoustical Testing -Plans have been reviewed and recommendations for test homes were <br />supplied to acoustical engineer on February 9. <br />April -Pre-Bid Conference will be held and GE Chen Construction will be given copies of <br />the project manual and the specifications. Adate will be set when they must submit their <br />project costs for City approval. <br />Pre-construction Conference to be held at the end of April or early May after the City <br />approves GE's cost proposal. All the local, state and federal requirements will be reviewed <br />at this meeting. Issues that were brought up in previous phases will be discussed. <br />May -Contractor Verification of Measurements to take place and RFIs will be submitted and <br />answered in a timely manner so the materials can be ordered. <br />All construction submittals will be reviewed and approved. <br />June /July -the lead time for fabrication of acoustical windows and doors is approximately 8 <br />weeks for vinyl and 12 weeks for aluminum. <br />August -Materials Inspection will be held after the components are delivered to the contractor's <br />warehouse. <br />Construction -depending on size, one or two homes will be opened per day. All 75 homes <br />should be opened and substantially complete 8 - 9 weeks from the start of construction. <br />Phase III Solicitation <br />56 CNEL -119 letters are being sent to homes that have not participated or responded to date. <br />The intent is to recruit the participation of as many properties in the 56 CNEL before including <br />homes in the 53, 54 & 55 CNEL. Many of the homeowners in the lower noise impacted area have <br />sent in Interest in Participation forms and call for a status update regularly. <br />If you have any questions or would like more information, please call me. <br />Regards, <br />C.
