There is also a soldier pile wall proposed that may be inspected by the City forces, <br />however we have assumed that we will be required to be there on the first day. <br />Task 2 - PERFORM CONSTRUCTION STAKING -Construction staking services will be performed in <br />accordance with the accepted standards as outlined in the Caltrans' Construction Surveys <br />Manual, dated September 2006, and will consist of field surveys and the necessary office <br />support to coordinate staking requirements with the Resident Engineer, attend construction <br />meetings as required, layout and set up field work, check notes and grade sheets. The <br />surveying tasks shall involve the following: <br />2.1 Project control -Benchmark and existing survey monument check and establish <br />temporary horizontal and vertical control points within the project area for construction <br />purposes. <br />2.2 Bridge abutments -One set of stakes will be set at each abutment, offset from the <br />footings along the abutment centerline and marked with the offset distance, stake <br />elevation and cut to the bottom of footing elevation. <br />2.3 Bridge piers -One set of inter-visible stakes will be established on the 'B' line at <br />specific station locations off of each end of the bridge to allow alignment sighting and <br />distancing for placement of the bridge piers on the 'B' line. <br />2.4 Grade trail -One set of stakes offset to the station-right side of the trail at a 50 foot <br />interval and at begin and end points, BCs, ECs, and changes in superelevation marked <br />with finish grades to control grading and paving of the trail surface. <br />2.5 Soldier piles -One set of stakes offset from each soldier pile marked with stake <br />elevation, offset distance and cut or fill to key controlling elevations as needed. <br />2.6 Access road widening at abutment #1 -One set of stakes marked with finish grades to <br />control grading, paving and conforms of the access road adjacent to abutment #1. <br />2.7 Access road extension -One set of stakes marked with finish grades to control <br />grading, paving and conforms of the maintenance access road extension, <br />2.8 Fence staking -One set of stakes for control of the replacement of the 6 foot chain link <br />fencing along the station-right side of the trail and at the access road widening in the <br />vicinity of abutment #1 with marks offset from all begin and end points, angle points, BCs <br />and ECs, intermediate points on curves and at a minimum 50 foot interval on tangents. <br />2.9 Pothole - As many as 5 open pothole excavations will be surveyed as needed for <br />exposed top of pipe elevations. <br />2.10 Management -Survey Department Manager will consult, monitor and respond to <br />situations and conditions as needed. <br />SCHEDULE <br />The schedule for support services is dependent on the construction schedule which is estimated <br />at 252 calendar days (approx 36 weeks) <br />Consulting Services Agreement between 08-144-39-012 <br />City of San Leandro and Mark Thomas & Company, Inc,-Exhibit A Page 16 <br />
