Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 7 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -March 1,1999 <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br />Minute Order No. 99-10, Matter of Creation of and Appointment to General Plan <br />Advisory Committee (GPAC) (provides recommendations from the City Council <br />Ad Hoc Committee to Create and Appoint Citizens to a General Plan Advisory <br />Committee [GPAC] in order to gain the input and advice of a diverse and <br />representative group of people living and working in San Leandro). (1156/1428) <br />The City Council approved the: <br />(1) creation of and appointment to the General Plan Advisory Committee <br />(GPAC), as recommended in the staff report; and <br />(2) amended the original direction for Council appointments to be the <br />appointment of one (1) representative and one (1) alternate by each of the <br />City Council Members and Mayor, by March 5, 1999, for a total GPAC <br />membership of 59. <br />M/S/C Galvan and Grant. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />D. Resolution Approving the Appropriation of Development Fees for Street <br />Improvements (DFSI) Funds for Grand and Joaquin Avenues (requests approval <br />for the implementation of improvements to aid traffic flow at the corner of Grand <br />and Joaquin Avenues and approval for DFSI Funds in the amount of $100,000). <br />Ray Davis gave the staff report, and the City Manager clarified that they are <br />investigating the possibility of acquiring the property at the corner of Grand and <br />Joaquin. <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />Resolution No. 99-30, Resolution Approving the Appropriation of Development <br />Fees for Street Improvements (DFSI) Funds for Grand and Joaquin Avenues <br />(requests approval for the implementation of improvements to aid traffic flow at <br />the corner of Grand and Joaquin Avenues and approval for DFSI Funds in the <br />amount of $100,000). <br />M/5/C Galvan and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />(2575) <br />E. Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Approving the Preliminary <br />Report for the Proposed West San Leandro/MacArthur Boulevard <br />Redevelopment Project Area, as Required by Health and Safety Code Section <br />33344.5 and Forwarding the Report to the Affected Taxing Entities (provides for <br />notification of affected taxing entities of the proposed West San <br />Leandro/MacArthurBnulevard Redevelopment Project Area). <br />
