He concluded by stating that this Council has been in the forefront on this issue. 6. Mayor Young publicly thanked the Airport Ad Hoc Committee for they hard work and lobbying efforts. Mayor Young reported that she attended the Planting of Trees Ceremonies for Arbor Day, as well as festivities sponsored by the Portuguese community commemorating Portuguese Immigrant Week. Mayor Young also requested the Council Members, as individuals, consider donating money to the San Leandro Nigh School Grad Night, at the request of the Planning Committee. It was noted Arroyo High School has a Sober Grad Night event; and the Council Members would be supportive of that event, as well. 6. CONSENT CALENDAR Consent Calendaz items are typically routine in nature and aze considered for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the Consent Calendaz aze deemed to have been read by title. Hussey for Acquisition and Use of Property on the Southeast Corner of Thornton and Alvazado Streets, Otherwise Known as Assessor's Pazcel Number 075-0045-001-04 (provides approval for development of property for a heating and air conditioning business).
