Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council Meeting Page 7 <br />November 1, 1999 <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />-- Resolution No. 99-161, Resolution of the City Council of the City of San <br />Leandro Establishing an Employee Housing Assistance Loan Program For <br />Management Staff. (2134/1833) <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Nardine. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Lothrop <br />D. Minute Order No. 99-66, Matter of Creation of and Appointments to a City <br />Council Mobile Home Rent Control Ad Hoc Committee. (1156/2720) <br />The City Council changed the name and created and appointed Council <br />Members Galvan, Glaze, and Mayor Young to the City Council Mobile <br />Home Issues Ad Hoc Committee. <br />M/S/C Glaze and Galvan. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Lothrop <br />E. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br />None <br />9. CONTINUED PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Continued Public Comments is limited to the balance of speaker cards that have been <br />submitted to the City Clerk and any new speakers who have not been heard. <br />Comments will be limited to 5 minutes per speaker. <br />A. Harold Heiken, 747 Lewelling Boulevard #34, Tenant and Assistant Manager <br />of Salel's, addressed the City Council regarding the proposed rents for Salel's <br />Mobile Home Park. He indicated the park is located in a good area for the <br />residents as there is easy access to many amenities. He further indicated they are <br />located in an area which provides for quick response from Fire Services and <br />Emergency Medical personnel. <br />B. Frances Guilford, 747 Lewelling Boulevard, Part Owner of the Salel's Park, <br />suggested the Ad Hoc Committee include someone representing Park Owners. <br />Vice Mayor Galvan clarified that the Committee is made up of City Council <br />Members, but they will have communication with owners and tenants. <br />C. Jack Pyne, 747 Lewelling Boulevard #60, addressed the City Council, stating <br />they do have amenities close by, but their property has no pool, no place to <br />counsel anyone, and no place for a meeting. He said only one washing machine <br />works in their laundry facilities, and the bathrooms are in disrepair. <br />
