Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council Meeting <br />December 20, 1999 <br />Page 4 <br />I. Tony Santos, 14495 Nassau Road, addressed the City Council and commended <br />Ed Suchman for his service on the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District <br />Board of Trustees, noting he has done a tremendous job for the City of San <br />Leandro. <br />J. Hernani Toste, 1274 Aileen Street, addressed the City Council regarding a <br />parking ticket he received and questioned why the City of San Leandro would <br />charge Long's employees $18.00 for driving their cars to work. <br />K. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council about how <br />they disrespect the public during Public Comments. He stated the City should <br />have a list of homeowners' associations and their dues-paying members. He <br />concluded by reading from the September 7, 1999, City Council Minutes regarding <br />the continuation of discussion of Election Matters for 60 days and questioned <br />when that will be coming back before the City Council. In conclusion, he stated <br />his opposition to the ordinance on the Agenda for second reading regarding the <br />vacating of a portion of Peralta Avenue. <br />5. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />Mayor Young reported on the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency <br />Meeting and indicated there is a draft project list for projects in the City of San <br />Leandro in connection with BART and the County. Assuming the project list is <br />approved, a $2 million fund for the improvement of the Bayfair/BART County <br />connection, with landscaping, bridges, sidewalks, etc., will be awarded. She also <br />indicated an additional item was approved in the project list, under 5TIP funding <br />for the City, amounting to almost $1 million for local streets and roads. <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br />1. City and SLUSD/SLzU5D Liaison Committee Meeting of December 7, 1999 - <br />MayorYoung reported on the meeting highlights. <br />2. Economic Development and Redevelopment Committee Meeting of December <br />9, 1999 -Vice Mayor Galvan reported on the meeting highlights. <br />3. Facilities Committee Meeting of December 14, 1999 -Council Member <br />Glaze reported on the meeting highlights. <br />4. Finance Committee Meeting of December 8, 1999 -Mayor Young reported <br />on the meeting highlights. <br />
