Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council Meeting Page - 4 - <br />March 2, 1998 <br />H. Howard Kerr, 15388 Norton Street, addressed the Council, stating it is <br />timely that we get involved in the flood-control expansion proposed by <br />FEMA. He noted there is a time limit on Appealing the Study and wants <br />to ensure the County, City, homeowner associations, and residents are <br />being given a chance to Appeal. They need the appropriate information <br />quickly. <br />I. Mel Morgan, 214 Lorraine Boulevard, addressed the Council regarding the <br />gun issue and noted the placement of the gun store on East 14th Street <br />is, he feels, a hazard. <br />J. Mark Behning, 725 Joaquin, addressed the Council regarding the placement <br />of directional signs, noting the City has enough signs throughout the <br />town. <br />Mr. Behning was informed of the Council's intention to postpone the <br />proposed sign policy for a six-month period. <br />5. CONSENT CALENQAR <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br />for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br />Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br />The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br />M/S/C Polvorosa and Galvan. Resolution No. 98-25, Resolution Authorizing Filing of a Claim with the <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) for Allocation of <br />Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 3, Funds for Fiscal Year <br />1998-99 (authorizes request for applying for a TDA Grant for the <br />installation of Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities in the amount of <br />$72,035).
