Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 4 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -August 3, 1998 <br />Dennis Lamberti, 325 Arroyo Avenue, addressed the Council and asked them to get on <br />with the Public Hearing process. <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, agreed with Mr. Lamberti and urged the Council <br />to move forward with the Public Hearing on the fees. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Matter of Imposing Liens for Non-Payment of Delinquent City Service Charges. <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, a staff <br />report was presented by City Manager John 7ermanis, Finance Director Tim <br />Hansen, and Director of Public Works Services Bob Rockett. <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br />There being no comments from the public, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Nardine. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />-- Resolution No. 9$-73, Resolution Confirming Reports of the Finance <br />Director, Imposing Liens for Non-Payment of Delinquent Refuse, Recycling, <br />and Sewer Service Charges; Business License Fees; Weed Abatement Charges; <br />and Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Repair Charges (authorizes the City to forward <br />tax liens to Alameda County for assessment on the 1998-99 tax rolls for <br />unpaid, delinquent charges). Matter of Adoption of Proposed Rate Increase for Refuse Service Charges <br />(required Public Hearing, in accordance with Proposition 218, for adoption of <br />property-related fees). <br />-- Resolution Amending Title 6, Chapter 5 of the San Leandro Administrative <br />Code Relating to Refuse Fees (provides for adjustments to fees and charges, <br />effective July 1, 1998).
