Traffic Control (2): Typical and specific detour for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians with <br />Caltrans Standard temporary traffic control elements. <br />• Profile Sheets (1): Profiles storm drain improvements, if any. <br />It appears that the asphalt along this stretch of San Leandro Boulevard is distressed and in need <br />of maintenance. If there are no anticipated near-term utility improvements that cannot be <br />completed prior to construction of this project, the City may want to seek funding for roadway <br />maintenance (overlay) in conjunction with this project. <br />A QC/QA of the plans will be performed by staff members in the particular disciplines with the <br />degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised, under similar circumstances, ~by reputable members <br />of its profession who have not previously been involved with the project. <br />After City, Caltrans, other appropriate agency (e.g., BART, AC Transit) review and receipt of <br />one set ofnon-conflicting comments, appropriate members of the Kimley-Horn team will meet <br />with the City to review the 35% plans and City continents. The plans will be modified to <br />incorporate agreed upon changes but will not be forwarded to the next level of completeness <br />with this contract. <br />Items NOT included in this proposal include, but are not limited to: <br />• Cost of obtaining any required permits (including, but not limited to any encroachment permits <br />required by the City or Caltrans). <br />• Drainage studies or reports. <br />• Geotechnical reports or recommendations (including structural sections for additions street <br />sections). <br />• Special provisions or project specification. <br />• Applications to PG&E for traffic signal or street light service. <br />• Legal review of documents. <br />• Coordination with any agency or entity other than those specifically listed. <br />• Processing and recording of grant deeds or records of survey. <br />• Right-of-way or right-of-entry negotiations with landowners. <br />• Preparation of utility easements, temporary construction easements, or other right-of--way <br />acquisition documents. <br />4.2 Financing Plan <br />4.2.1 Project Start-Up, Review of Proposed Improvements, and Benefits <br />Our team members will meet with the City to review project objectives, identify issues to be <br />addressed in formulating the financial strategy, potential target parcels and area for assessment- <br />districtbased financing, and types of improvements and projected benefits.
