San Leandro Community Assistance Fundin <br />ORGANIZATION: ECHO Housing <br />PROGRAM TITLE: Fair Housing Services <br />GRANT APPLICATION <br />Objective #2 <br />a. Program Premise (if..., then...): If landlords, who are found to have illegally discriminated, agree to receive education, <br />then the probability would increase that housing would become accessible and evictions would be prevented without need <br />of the court system, thereby preventing homelessness and the over-burdening of the courts. <br />b. Program Activities (Describe the services to be provided that will be in your agency's Scope of Work): Recruit, <br />screen, and train checkers to test properties, supervise and conduct audits of 15 San Leandro properties, complete site visit <br />comparison data following each site visit, notify owners of illegal practices discovered and disseminate current fair housing <br />information. <br />c. Program Outputs (The direct quantifiable products of program activities, such as the number of meals provided or <br />participants served. Program outputs should be measurable and realistic): <br />BY JUNE 30, 2009 (12 MONTHS): <br />14 audits conducted <br />BY JUNE 30, 201.0 (24 MONTHS): <br />28 audits conducted <br />d. Program Outcomes (Program Outcomes =The benefit for program participants. Who benefits, what will change, by when, how <br />will you know.): <br />BY JUNE 30, 2009 (12 MONTHS): 100% or 14 of 14 properties will be audited to determine fair housing compliance and the <br />owners/property managers will be afforded the opportunity to receive free training and education in order to make their <br />rental units accessible to protected classes. <br />BY JUNE 30, 2010 (24 MONTHS): 1 OO% or 28 of 28 properties will be audited to determine fair housing compliance and the <br />owners/property managers will be afforded the opportunity to receive free training and education in order to make their <br />rental units accessible to protected classes. <br />e. What are your sources of data? (List only those sources to which you have access): <br />Tester reports, annual audit reports, and follow-up with property owners. <br />f. What data collection/methods will you use?
