Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 4 - <br />Redevelopment Agency Meeting - January 6, 1997 <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br />Minute Order No. 97-1, Matter of Redevelopment Agency Motion to Refer <br />the Islander Workshop Findings and Recommendations to the Planning <br />Commission for Further Study and Direction for Implementing the <br />Recommendations. <br />The Redevelopment Agency referred the Islander Workshop Findings and <br />Recommendations to the Planning Commission for further study and <br />direction for implementing the recommendations. <br />MJS/C Young and Polvorosa. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />D. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br />None <br />7. OPEN FORUM <br />Open Forum is limited to 3 minutes maximum per speaker, 15 minutes total. <br />1. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, requested information pertaining to <br />the Brown Act and time limits. He also commented on the Islander Motel <br />Workshop. <br />8. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />1. Council Member Galvan announced he would attend the California <br />Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) Conference on behalf of the <br />East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA), January 16-18, 1997. <br />2. Council Member Young attended the Congestion Management Association <br />(CMA) meeting in pecember on behalf of Mayor Corbett. She commented <br />on the San Joaquin Railway Project. She noted the Measure B <br />Reauthorization Project is currently under way. Engineering and <br />Transportation Director Bill Algire noted that a Work Session will be <br />scheduled in the near future to discuss the issue; he announced a CMA <br />public meeting will be held on Wednesday night to obtain public input <br />for this project. <br />3. Mayor Corbett reported on the Waste Management Authority. She noted <br />the Shop Smart Campaign for stores, and the waste characterization <br />study. <br />
