(1136) <br />The City Council continued the matter of Approval of Findings of Fact <br />and Conditions of Approval Regarding SD-75-44; St. Moritz Apartments; <br />14744 Washington Avenue; Assessor's Parcel Number 077C-1305-001-002; <br />City of San Leandro, Applicant; RM 1800 Residential Multiple Family <br />District to the March 3, 1997, City Council Meeting. <br />M/S/C Polvorosa and Lothrop. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />G. Matter of Dissolving the City Council Disaster Preparedness Program <br />Implementation Committee. <br />Interim City Manager Wandzia Grycz presented a report on the 1989 <br />Disaster Council and task forces. She asked for clarification as to the <br />Council's desire for which committee to retain. <br />Council Member Loeffler said he was a Disaster Subcommittee member. He <br />said in 1994 regular meetings occurred and that the other group was <br />never mentioned. He noted his past involvement and expressed his <br />frustration with the matter. He asked for clarification regarding the <br />proposed model. Wandzia cited the Ordinance and the use of citizens on <br />the committee. <br />Mayor Corbett said she appreciates Council Member Loeffler's commitment <br />and said his experience would be needed and he would be a resource. <br />Vice Mayor Polvorosa said Council Member Loeffler's work could continue. <br />City Attorney Steve Meyers noted that the committee would be subject to <br />the open-meeting requirements. <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br />Minute Order No. 97-10, Motion to Dissolve City Council Disaster <br />Preparedness Program Implementation Committee. (1156) <br />The City Council dissolved the City Council Disaster Preparedness <br />Program Implementation Committee. <br />M/S/C Polvorosa and Galvan. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Abstained: Loeffler <br />H. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br />City Attorney Steve Meyers reported that the City Council has expressed <br />their intention to appoint John Jermanis as the City Manager, and the <br />Mayor will serve as the spokesperson for the City Council. <br />
