Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council Meeting Page - 7 - <br />September 15, 1997 <br />Resolution No. 97-122, Resolution Amending Section 1.10 of the <br />Pay Plan (amends the Pay Plan to add the new classification and <br />salary range for Tree Trimmer II, Retitle the Tree Trimmer <br />Classification to Tree Trimmer I, and add a Park Maintenance <br />Worker I position in the Landscape Maintenance Section of the <br />Public Works Services Department). (1079/1177) <br />E. Ordinance No. 97-027, An Ordinance Reclassifying Certain Property <br />Herein Described as to Zoning District and Amending Zoning Map (A- <br />97-8), Marina Boulevard Rezoning to Provide "S" Special Review <br />Overlay District to Encourage Particular Land Uses In the Area of <br />Marina Boulevard Between Doolittle Drive and Washington Avenue <br />(provides for rezoning of portions of Marina Boulevard and <br />surrounding side streets to encourage uses that recognize the <br />unique attributes of the three distinct sections of Marina <br />Boulevard and provide an additional layer of review for new <br />uses). (1099/1009/1024) <br />- Adopted <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. An Ordinance Vacating a Portion of a Publ i c Right of Way, Pike <br />Avenue, Approximately 395 Feet ± West of Wicks Boulevard to <br />Griffith Street (provides for vacation by the City of a portion of <br />Pike Avenue). <br />City Engineer Uche Udemezue gave a brief presentation on the <br />issues that were addressed with adjoining property owners and <br />businesses regarding accessibility and traffic circulation <br />problems on the alternate routes (Burroughs Street and Griffith <br />Street). He showed a short video demonstrating how a legal, <br />maximum tractor/trailer can fairly easily be maneuvered from <br />Griffith Street onto the Avanti Storage loading dock without <br />utilizing Pike Avenue. <br />Council clarified the businesses will be notified and informed of <br />the parking enforcement that is proposed. <br />The following Ordinance was then introduced: <br />Ordinance No. 97-028, An Ordinance Vacating a Portion of a Public <br />Right of Way, Pike Avenue, Approximately 395 Feet ± West of Wicks <br />Boulevard to Griffith Street (provides for vacation by the City of <br />a portion of Pike Avenue).
