2. Task 2 -Design And Construction Documents <br />The scope of Task 2 includes preparing, submitting and revising contract plans, <br />specifications and cost estimates for the City's dredging project and assisting the <br />City and the Corps of Engineers in the Corps' preparation of contract documents <br />for the Federal dredging project. Consultant shall specifically assist with, and <br />provide information regarding Boat Relocation Procedures and Plan, Hydraulic <br />Discharge Pipeline Route and Requirements, Discharge Sequencing, Decant <br />Requirements, Dredge Material Management Site (DMMS) fencing and control of <br />the work at the DMMS, maintenance requirements for the DMMS wire structures, <br />and DMMS site restoration requirements in addition to typical project plans used <br />in previous dredging projects; review and estimate of dredging areas and volumes <br />for bid documents and construction estimates; and review and comment of <br />documents prepared by other project consultants. <br />3. Additional Services Which May Be Added To Scope Of Work <br />Other items of work not described above maybe added to the scope of work of <br />this agreement with an approved cost estimate from the Consultant and an <br />approved work authorization from the City. The work authorization shall detail <br />the additional scope of work and budget as agreed to by the Parties. Examples of <br />additional services include, but are not limited to: <br />3.1. Bidding -Provide assistance to the City during the bidding process <br />including preparation of addenda and responses to bidder's written <br />questions, and attendance at one pre-bid conference. Work on <br />addenda items related to the correction of design errors or omissions in <br />the plans and specifications will be completed at no additional cost to <br />the City. <br />3.2. Engineering Services During Construction - Interpretation of contract <br />documents; assistance with negotiation and preparation of change <br />orders; review of extra work requests, shop drawings and submittals; <br />attendance at meetings to assist in the resolving of design or <br />construction issues; site visits to observe construction operations; and <br />preparation of final Record Drawings. <br />A-3 DELIVERABLES <br />1. Planst Specifications and Estimates: Plans, specifications and estimates for the <br />City's dredging project and review comments and supporting information (as <br />described in Task 2 above) for the Federal dredging project, shall be submitted in <br />triplicate at 50%, 75% and 100% completion for the City's dredging project, and <br />as needed to respond to the documents submitted by the Corps of Engineers for <br />the Federal dredging project, in accordance with the schedule below and shall <br />incorporate the City's comments from previous reviews. All sheets for the City's <br />dredging project shall be prepared in accordance with the City's standard borders <br />San Leandro Marina Channel and Berth Dredging 2006 July 22, 2005 <br />597-57-200-5120 Page 16 of 21 <br />
