Due to the intermittent nature of water on the site, fish are not <br />typically present within the DMMS. <br />e) There are no local policies or ordinances applicable to the proposed project. Therefore, conflicts with local policies or ordinances <br />would not occur as a result of the proposed project. <br />f) No Habitat Conservation Plans, Natural Community Conser~~ation Plans, or other approved local, regional, or state habitat <br />conservation plans are applicable to the project area. <br />7. Result in the loss of availability of a locally, <br />important mineral resource recovery site X 4 <br />delineated on a local general plan, specific plan <br />or other land use Ian`? <br />EXPLANATION: <br />a-b) San Leandro's principal mineral resources are volcanic rocks, such as basalt, andesite, and rhyolite. San Leandro's only quarry, <br />located east of the City limits on Lake Chabot Road, ceased operation in the 1980'x. The- General Plan does not identify the project <br />site as an area containing a known mineral resource. The proposed project would therefore not result in the loss of availability of a <br />known mineral resource that is valuable on a local, regional, or state-wide basis. <br />8. IIAZARDS AND HALARDOUS MATERIALS. ~'ould the ro'ect: <br />a_ Create a significant hazard to the public or the X <br />environment through the routine transport, use, ~ <br />or dis osal of hazardous materials? <br />b.
