Once alignment and bridge type have been approved, the design <br />concept will be finalized and plans will be developed to a greater level of detail. <br />Subtask 2.5 Environmental Document & Permit <br />Consultant shall assist City throughout the project with technical information regarding trail <br />and bridge design which it is required to provide in support of the environmental document <br />and permitting application processes. <br />Consultant shall prepare necessary exhibits to City for various publics meeting use. <br />DELNERABLES <br />Five hard copies and one electronic copy of: <br />1. Geotechnical Report with boring logs <br />2. Preliminary Design Report consisting of <br />a. Preliminary alternative for trail layout and profile, bridge general plan <br />b. Preliminary construction cost estimate <br />Task 3 -Design Development <br />After receiving approval from the City on the Preliminary Design Report, Consultant shall <br />begin the preparation of the construction documents (in English units). Engineering services <br />for this task shall include preparation of construction documents with plans, technical <br />specifications and quantity calculations and cost estimates. <br />Subtask 3.1 70% PS&E <br />Construction Document Preparation <br />Consultant shall be responsible for preparing the construction documents and incorporating <br />the.recommendations from the Preliminary Design. Consultant shall prepare 70 % complete <br />construction documents for the City and other agencies and utility owners to review. The <br />plan/profile drawings shall be prepared on standard 24" x 36" drawings (1" = 40' scale) <br />using Autocad R14 and Softdesk 8.0. Details developed on previous City-approved projects <br />shall be used as much as possible. <br />Consultant shall prepare a 70 % set of technical specifications using Microsoft Word for <br />submittal. The technical specifications shall be prepared by combining the Green Book, <br />Caltrans Standard Specification and Caltrans Special Provisions. A list of anticipated bid <br />items shall be provided. A cost estimate shall be provided with the plan submittal in Excel <br />format. The 70 % submittal shall include the development of the base sheets and major <br />elements of work -civil and structural.
